Along lanes, paths or short sections on rolling stock to enjoy delightful views and panoramas, immersed in a context full of life and beauty: here is the Greenway of the Patriarchs!<\/p>\n

Who are the Patriarchs, first of all?
\n“Patriarchitt” was the nickname of the Varennesi people, because in the past in Varenna they practised the religious rite of Aquileia. Today the “Patriarchs” represent the elderly people of Varenna, the long-lived and wise ones.
\nEvery year we celebrate them all together on a day dedicated to them, which takes place at the end of autumn in the decorated halls of Villa Cipressi.
