THE LAKESIDE PROMENADE REOPENED

The lake walkway was reopened on Saturday 13 June 2020 after the redevelopment and renovation of its flooring.

“We are pleased – declares the mayor Mauro Manzoni – to be able to reopen to the public, in its new guise, the lakeside walkway, at the end of the redevelopment and embellishment works. The wait, determined by the suspension of the work caused by the pandemic, has certainly increased the desire to return to travel. The lakeside walkway is one of the most enchanting stretches of Varenna, visited by tourists from all over the world. In this exceptional period, where foreigners are almost absent, we hope that many of our compatriots will rediscover how many wonderful places, not far from home, our country offers ».
