TRANSPORT / HOW TO GET

HOW TO REACH VARENNA BY CAR, TAXI, TRAIN OR BOAT

Varenna is between 50 and 100 km from the main airports of Lombardy and is only a 20-minute drive from the capital of the Province of Lecco. Connected to Menaggio and Bellagio by the ferry service, it is easily reachable from Switzerland, as well as from Valtellina thanks to its central position on the eastern branch of Lake Como.

FROM MILANO-LINATE

Take “LINATE SHUTTLE” for Milan Central Station.

Departure from Linate Airport: from 9 am every hour until 10.30pm
Journey time: 25 minutes
Tickets: Adult €7,00; children up to 12 years € 3,00.

The ferry boat service connects Varenna with the municipalities of Bellagio, Cadenabbia and Menaggio. Varenna is also one of the stops on the Como – Colico and Lecco – Bellagio routes..
