The 7th edition opens with a concert by the Milano Virtuosa Trio
The seventh edition of the Varenna Festival will open on Saturday, May 31 at 6:00 PM in the stunning setting of Villa Cipressi in Varenna. The music festival is promoted by the Municipality of Varenna in collaboration with the Elysium Chorus Association of Milan.
The festival’s Artistic Director is Maestro Maurizio Moretta, creator of a cultural program that over the years has successfully highlighted the dialogue between music, local heritage, and the artistic treasures of Lake Como.
Opening the festival will be the Milano Virtuosa Trio, a chamber ensemble composed of Anna Glibchuk (violin), Gianfranco Messina (viola), and Luca Russo Rossi (cello) — musicians united by strong international training and extensive concert experience in Italy and abroad.
The concert will feature a captivating and stylistically diverse program, spanning different musical periods and languages: from the Viennese Classicism of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart to the Romanticism of Franz Schubert, and extending to the evocative charm of the waltzes of Johann Strauss.
Free admission subject to venue capacity.
