An evening of refined music awaits the audience in the beautiful setting of the Church of Santa Marta in Varenna. On Friday, August 8 at 9:15 PM, the concert “French Atmospheres (and Beyond)” will take listeners on a captivating journey through elegance, lyricism, and virtuosity, performed by two outstanding musicians:

The harp has long been associated with the refinement and charm of French music, and was beloved by many composers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Alongside well-known figures such as Debussy, Fauré, and Saint-Saëns, this program also brings to light lesser-known gems by Cécile Chaminade and Albert Zabel.

The unusual pairing with the oboe adds a unique perspective to the works of Bach, Donizetti, and Monti, offering the audience an evening of elegance and discovery.
