The Varenna Festival presents “Fantasies and Virtuosity”, an evening dedicated to the elegance of chamber music and the brilliance of instrumental technique. Performing are Rocco Parisi, internationally renowned bass clarinet specialist, and Maurizio Barboro, distinguished pianist with an extensive international career.
The program spans Romantic and Impressionist masterpieces, including works by Schumann, Chopin, Debussy, Mozart, and Rachmaninov, alongside dazzling operatic fantasies such as Bassi/Verdi’s “Rigoletto” and Borne/Bizet’s “Carmen”.
The concert reaffirms the Festival’s commitment to presenting high‑level artists and refined musical programs.
